So, after many years of posting my photography and thoughts to a well known social media site, I decided that it was time to try something new.
Photography has been a constant all of my adult life. I started out with SLR film and joined the digital jorney at the 3.1mp stage, eventually going digital SLR with a multitude of lenses and other kit. I then spent many years taking all my photos with just a mobile phone abandoning the purist mentality, concluding that when it comes to photography composition and the minds eye are king, in my opinion, so I no longer worried about ‘kit’ or how much post-production editing was carried out. It’s became all about the picture, its feel, and what it communicates. I have just recently returned to the digital ‘SLR’ and my, how things have changed; I am using the Fujifilm XT-5 which I came with a 16-50 kit zoom but I predominately use a 23mm prime to shoot at 35mm so as to replicate they eyes natural field of view.
Subject matter wise, landscapes, both natural and architectural and the odd candid portrait are my current fields.
My pictures will more often than not be accompanied by some form of ramblings or `Words of Wardom’ as I like to call them, but I will let you decide on the merit of their inferred wisdom!
